The 2015 annual photography event attracted over 150 entries. These are the winning photographs in nine categories, together with the ‘People’s Choice’, voted by all those attending the awards ceremony on 5 March.
- This stunning photo of a manta, taken in the Maldives, won the Pelagic category for Jon Hardman
- The Turtles category was won by Miles Howarth
- Chris Hastie took first prize in the non-fish category for this photo of a shrimp taken in shallow water on the Isles of Scilly
- The coral category was won by Jeannie Parnham
- The winner of the static specimen fish category was Keith Bond
- This trumpet fish won the moving specimen fish category for David Williams
- Miles Howarth won the Shoaling Fish category
- Richard Talbot took the prize in the People underwater category, despite concern over how he managed to be this far from his buddy
- Richard Talbot won the best newcomer award
- Not only did this photo by Richard Wells take the ‘Arty’ prize, but also the People’s Choice
- And finally… the caption competition was won by Ellen Noakes for “Weren’t these Red Sea corks meant to plug the other end?”
