A week later than planned thanks to the weather, the results of this year’s annual photo competition were revealed on 8th March. It was a strong field, with 15 photographers entering 245 photographs. Here are the winners in each of the categories.
- This compass jelly fish, taken by Sophie Hastie whilst snorkelling on the Isles of Scilly, won the Jellyfish and Octopus category
- Paul Stoodley won the Seals and Dolphins category with this picture, taken in the Red Sea
- Richard Talbot took this winning photo in the People Underwater category in the Cenotes of Mexico
- Demonstrating his mastery of the macro, Paul Stoodley won the Nudibranch category
- The sharks category was won by Richard Wells with this Oceanic White Tip photographed in the Red Sea
- This distant shot of a turtle won the Best Newcomer category for Lynne Bunker
- Best in Show was taken by Miles Howarth with this stunning octopus
- Jeannie Parnham won the Statics category with this giant clam
- Miles Howarth won the Turtle category.
- Chris Hastie won the moray eel category
- This tiny fish on a piece of rope by Graham Greener won the Specimen Fish category
- Miles Howarth won the Shoaling Fish category.
