Johnny’s role involves taking the minutes at the Committee meetings and distributing them, handling Club correspondence, liaising with the national office and other administrative matters.
Most memorable diving moment: Bumping into a turtle towards the end of my third ever night dive in the Red Sea.
Most embarrassing dive moment: Diving in Swanage on the wreck Fleur de Lys with Sally, we followed a line on the sea floor to an adjacent barge. As I swam over the lip of the barge I lost a fin, and in trying to retrieve it ended up on my back like a turtle stuck fast in the barge! Sally made a valiant effort to try and get me upright but to no avail. Eventually managed to get myself off my back after much ungainly flailing and kicking up of silt!
Pre-dive breakfast: Usually porridge!
After a dive: A Chinese takeaway!
When not diving: Johnny is usually watching TV and films, running, gaming, or cooking.
